Something New
Ok, so I have been playing GW's for quite a while now, I decided to try something new. (New too me)
I've never ran a BeastMaster ranger before and this is what I have so far:
Its been working for me but I feel that it COULD be better.
Any tips?

Well I use it on myself aswell as the pet. Its just added damage.
I took off Ancestors Rage, put in Vampirism, for just some added defense/offense.

what about Brutal Strike? This wiki page, if you haven't already checked it out, could help: Beastmaster.

You don't do anything except spam pet attacks..and you have NRA, free 25% IAS you aren't using for yourself bring at least 9 in spear and throw some poison/bleeding around

Moar expertise.
Great Dwarf Weapon should work, but never tried. Suppose be "weapon spells."

If you're going to play Beast Master, running a build that is pretty much full of skills to improve the pet's ability and doesn't do anything for you is bad. You've pretty much turned an X-player team into an (X-1)-player team with one extra henchman.
Scrap the build, start over, and try to make something that will allow both you and your pet to do something.

Been trying for years to make the beast-master build work and never have.
Now that they have made heal as one decent I will probably have another try.
Other comments already made are valid putting a load of points into your setup for one skill isn't a great idea nor is making your ranger just a puppet master doing nothing but run the pet attacks.
Looking through the skills that are effective with no points needed might be the way, so will be looking at great dwarf weapon as well as all the other skills luxon asuran norn etc.
For me the underlying problem is having to put pet skills on your skillbar.
Nothing will be done about it for gw but hopefully they will have a rethink for gw2.
Maybe a companion with their own skills that they use without prompting, or even change to animal form ranger ability as an alternative.

Your build seems too heavy on skills not contributing to overall damage and I don't really like full pet builds since the AI can be a tad thick. I find that i'm standing around with my thumb up my ass not contributing enough to the party.
I prefer a split build and using a secondary weapon so that damage is split between me and the pet. You can use a bow but i find it to be too ineffective compared to other weapons.
I like to run a /P build with spears along the lines of
Never Rampage Alone
Comfort Animal
Asuran Scan
Blazing Spear
Spear of Fury
Scavengers Strike
Enraged Lunge
Utility (Another attack,EBSOH, GDW,Find their Weakness)
The new Heal os One is quite nice although i havent really squeezed a nice build that i really like into much use yet. Possibly Brutal Strike, Scavergers,HaO might be nice
You can easily do the same with R/D, R/W or R/A and have Strength of Honour on a Hero for added chuckles

Woah that was sick. Anyway , the best secondaries for a BM are P and A. You can also try D or W if you want but use almost same skill bar config :
Enraged Lunge
3 attack skills
GDWeapon
NRAlone
Pet
Optional
Asuran Scan is kinda useless , i think it doesnt boost your pet dmg so Ebsoh fits better or Run As One if you want some IMS.
